How Leather Knife Co. collects, uses, and protects your information.

Last updated August 21, 2026.

Information You Provide

When you place an order, create an account, or contact us, we collect the information you provide — such as your name, email address, shipping and billing address, and phone number if you give one. We use this information to fulfill orders, communicate with you, and provide support.

Orders & Transactions

When you place an order, we (through our store platform, WooCommerce) record order details — items purchased, price, shipping address, and order status — in order to process, ship, and provide support for that order.

Payment Processing

Payments are processed by PayPal, our payment processor. We do not directly store your full card or payment account details on our servers — that information is handled by PayPal in accordance with its own privacy policy and security standards. We receive confirmation of payment and limited transaction information needed to fulfill your order.

Shipping Information

Domestic orders may be shipped using USPS or UPS. We share the shipping information you provide (name and address) with whichever carrier is used to fulfill your specific order, as needed to deliver it — not with every carrier we work with.

Customer Accounts

If you create an account on our site, we store your account details (such as name, email, and order history) so you can log in, view past orders, and check out more easily in the future. You can request that your account be deleted at any time — see Contact below.

Cookies

Like most WooCommerce-based stores, our site uses cookies for core functions — for example, to keep items in your cart, to keep you logged in, and to remember your session while you shop. These are functional cookies necessary for the store to work, not advertising cookies.

Analytics

At this time, our site does not have third-party analytics or advertising tracking (such as Google Analytics or an advertising pixel) installed. If that changes in the future, this policy will be updated to reflect it before any such tool goes live.

Contact Forms & Email

If you contact us by email, we retain that correspondence in order to respond to you and keep a record of the conversation for support purposes.

Security

We take reasonable technical and administrative measures to protect the information we hold. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, but we work to protect your information appropriately.

Third-Party Service Providers

We use the following third-party services to operate the store:

  • WooCommerce — our store platform, which processes and stores order and account data.
  • PayPal — our payment processor, which handles payment information directly.
  • Brevo (via WP Mail SMTP) — our transactional email delivery service, used to send order confirmations and other store notifications; it processes the customer email address and order-related content needed to deliver those emails.

Data Retention

We retain order and account information for as long as needed to fulfill orders, comply with tax and accounting obligations, and provide customer support, after which it may be deleted or anonymized.

Your Privacy Rights

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal information we hold about you by contacting us using the information below.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page.
